About quants.md
A free, open notebook for anyone learning, researching or building in quantitative finance — students, traders, engineers and the curious.
What’s here
- The strategy vault — 5,806 community-published strategy specs, searchable by style, indicator, timeframe and complexity.
- The curriculum — original lessons from probability to market microstructure, with the maths written out.
- Practice — an interview-style question bank, a daily set and a mental-math sprint.
- Calculators — options pricing, Monte Carlo, Kelly, sizing, Sharpe significance and drawdowns.
- Build — how to turn a spec into a tested, risk-gated system.
Credits and sources
The strategy specs come from The Quant Trading Vault by brainbrick-trades, which collects strategies published on the FMZ strategy square. Each spec page keeps its original author and links back to the source. The vault is included in this project as a git submodule, unmodified; quants.md adds search, classification and presentation on top.
Lessons, questions, glossary entries and calculators are original to quants.md and released under the MIT licence along with the site’s code.
Your privacy
There are no accounts. Your progress, streak and saved specs are stored in your own browser’s local storage and never sent to a server. You can export or erase them on your progress page.
Contributing
Everything is on GitHub. Lessons are MDX files in src/content/lessons, questions live in src/data/questions.ts, and glossary terms in src/data/glossary.ts. Corrections are the most valuable contribution of all: if a formula, answer or claim is wrong, please open an issue or a pull request.
Who makes it
quants.md is made by the team behind AgenKit, the AI engineering kit we recommend on pages about building systems. The site itself is and will stay free and open source.
Disclaimer
Everything here is for education and research. Nothing is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Strategy specs are unvalidated and their published results are not evidence of future performance. Trading involves substantial risk of loss; paper trade first and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
